NOTA BALOYI APPRECIATES JUB JUB’S PROTECTION WHILE BEHIND BARS
Controversial music producer Nota Baloyi has shared details about his time in prison. Baloyi was then arrested in November while attending a hearing at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court for a rape case.
He served nearly 20 days of a 60-day sentence at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison for defaming rapper K.O and was later released on parole.
The music manager said that during his sentence, Jub Jub, a former inmate, ensured his safety. Baloyi was being interviewed on The Hustlers Corner Podcast with DJ Sbu.
He also noted that even Jub Jub’s friends who were still in jail made sure he was okay while in prison.
Reflecting on his challenging prison experience, Nota shared: “When you’re in prison, you think you might be raped. Fortunately, that didn’t happen to me. You can trade things like slices of bread—if you give them soap, they iron your clothes. And I had spare Sunlight.”
NOTA ON HIS COSTLY LEGAL WOES
Baloyi is facing rape accusations filed by actress Itumeleng Bokaba in 2024. The case has been postponed until Valentine’s Day.
He revealed that his legal troubleshave been expensive and expressed hope that they will end soon.
“With regards to the rape case, we are waiting for the prosecution to decide whether they will still proceed with it after they have concluded investigations.
So, hopefully, by the time the protection order matter sits, the rape matter will have been concluded. Because it starts in January next year,” said Nota Baloyi.
