Woman eating raw meat sends social media into a frenzy watch

Social media is ablaze after content creator Lindsay Hopkins, who brands herself as a “meat analyst,” posted a video of herself eating raw meat in her car – prompting everything from concern to support, and plenty of jokes in between.

In the video, which was shared on Instagram, Hopkins asks viewers: “Do you ever crave a raw piece of meat?”

Food trend

While many users emphatically answered “No,” the clip quickly gained traction, with thousands weighing in on what has been dubbed one of the internet’s more baffling food trends.

Hopkins, who has a growing online following, frequently posts content promoting a raw meat diet, which she shares with her dog, Frog.

In one video, she plates raw minced meat for herself and jokes, “Like mother, like son,” while preparing a separate bowl for her pet.

Critics didn’t hold back, with one user commenting: “How much attention do you need?”

Hopkins responded bluntly: “A lot.”

Others defended her dietary choices, arguing that what she eats is her business.

One supporter wrote: “It’s their life, their choice. People don’t need to answer to anyone.”

Risks

Health experts have long warned against the consumption of raw meat due to risks of bacterial infections such as salmonella and E. coli, but Hopkins appears unfazed.

She claims her raw meat diet is beneficial, not only for herself but also for her dog, whom she says suffered digestive issues that cleared up once switching to raw food.

This incident isn’t the first time a raw meat diet has gone viral online, but Hopkins’ confident, casual approach and cheeky tone have reignited fierce debate about extreme diets, online influence, and the limits of shock-value content.

As World Food Safety Day quietly lingers in the background of internet discourse, the question remains: Are such viral food trends risky, revolutionary, or just for clicks?

How often do you eat raw meat – if at all?
