Gifted Blood Legacyactor Wiseman Zitha has built a remarkable acting career since he rose to superstardom.

The South African caught up with the star over the weekend at the Out Of Office With Netflix summer event, in Cape Town.

WISEMAN’S STAR KEEPS SHINING BRIGHTLY

Talented actor Wiseman Zitha has carved out an impressive acting career since he shot to fame.

His acting portfolio includes starring in shows such as Giyani—Land of Blood,Queen Modjadji, Muvhango, Netflix’s popular Blood Legacy, and others.

It is without a doubt that he had a remarkable year and he didn’t come to Johannesburg to play. He’s Mzansi’s rising star, and his career will continue to soar to greater heights.

Zitha says he’s proud of what he has accomplished in 2024 and throughout his acting career.

“I think all the credit belongs to Almighty God. It’s grace. At the start of 2024, I couldn’t have predicted this, but by His grace, we made it. 2024 has truly been a beautiful year for me.”

WISEMAN ON PUTTING GOD FIRST

This year, Zitha challenged himself with multiple roles, including portraying Lungeloon Blood Legacy. He adds that working with Netflix has always been a dream, and it has finally come true.

It is no secret that the entertainment industry is unpredictable, but putting his faith in God has helped him conquer.

The star says that focusing more on work, putting God first, and spending less time hanging out with friends helped him achieve a lot this year.

“I believe I put in the work, and this year my focus was different from previous years. GOD was at the centre, and I truly locked in. There was less hanging out with friends and much more focus on work,” he adds.

PRIVACY IS KEY FOR THE ACTOR

It’s remarkable how Zitha has managed to maintain his privacy in the industry. The actor is committed to securing the bag and advancing his career.

Zitha’s down-to-earth personality has won the hearts of many.

“I think we just need to be kind to one another. The entertainment industry may seem big, but it’s small. We never know what tomorrow holds, so treat people well, and they’ll do the same.”

Moreover, he avoids making headlines for the wrong reasons. Speaking about keeping his life private he adds:

“I don’t think being everywhere is a great idea, especially for your sanity. Our industry can be overwhelming, and not everything needs to be shared online. Focus on work, return home, and protect your private life. People respect you more with a clean profile.”

ZITHA ON LESSONS LEARNED THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER

When asked which character challenges him this year, he says it is playing Mamaila in Queen Modjadji. He explains that the character positively challenges him.

“It was challenging due to the language because I had to take Khelobedu classes. But, as actors, we need challenges to grow and discover our abilities. After all, you won’t know what you can do unless you try. I’m open to failure and learning.”

Furthermore, he says the most valuable lesson he learned this year was to trust God in everything.

“I had to learn to trust God in all that I do. I’ve also realised that gratitude attracts more blessings. While I desired more, I took the time to thank God for what I have and to live in the moment. Additionally, I’ve learned to trust myself more.”

WHAT HE HAS IN STORE FOR US IN 2025

The actor is closing off 2024 with a bang, having been named GQ Rising Star of 2024, and he adds:

“It’s such a beautiful honour; I feel seen and like I’m heading in the right direction. Honestly, I’m just grateful to God. I still say it’s not by might nor power, but by His grace.”

According to him, there are many projects expected in 2025, though he cannot share details at this time.

“All I can say is that God has been amazing in my life and has kept His promises to me,” he concludes.
