The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate are reportedly preparing for their King and Queen roles “sooner than expected”.

PRINCE WILLIAM, KATE MIDDLETON PREPARE FOR KING AND QUEEN ROLES SOONER THAN EXPECTED

The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly kick-started their preparations for becoming King and Queen of England. Princess Kate had a difficult year after being diagnosed with cancer, revealed to the public in March. Subsequently, she took some time away from her royal duties.

The Princess of Wales underwent chemotherapy and in September she revealed that she cancer-free. Prince William also lightened his load and spent more time at home while his wife battled cancer and underwent chemotherapy.

Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith claims that the Prince and Princess of Wales has began gearing up for his ascension.

“Although the king is carrying out his duties with typical determination, he has had to accept limitations during his cancer treatment,” Bedell Smith toldPeople.

“As a result William has been taking on more responsibilities, and he and Kate have been preparing for their future roles sooner than they would have expected,” Smith continued.

ROYAL BIOGRAPHER: ‘KATE’S HEALTH HAS TAKEN PRIORITY’

Smith went on to say that the pair are preparing for the biggest jobs of their lives and Princess Kate’s health has taken priority.

“There’s a sense of calm before the storm. They are next in line for the biggest job of their lives, and of course, Kate’s health has taken priority, but it’s also allowed everyone to take a step back and figure out what’s important right now,” said Smith.

This comes after Princess Kate shared a rare comment on her cancer journey to pop tar Paloma Faith at her fourth annual carol service which took place on Friday 6 December at Westminster Abbey.

Princess Kate expressed that she had no idea 2024 was going to be the way it was, referencing her battle with cancer. In March, Kate revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

“I didn’t know this year was going to be the year that I’ve just had,” said Kate in a video shared on U.K.’s Channel 5 News‘s X page.

“The unplanned,” Faith chimed in.

“The unplanned, exactly. But I think lots of people this year have had such challenging times,” she continued.
