South African entrepreneur and investor Rob Hersov suggest that white South Africans, due to historical advantages, will thrive more than black South Africans even in 2025.
The controversial billionaire said that the ANC did manage to improve the lives of the poor up until 2012 but since then, corruption and incompetence has been the order of the day.
Hersov has been a big critic of the government and its policities, speaking out against the Expropriation Bill, claiming it drives away foreign investment.
Rob Hersov ‘gives ANC some credit’
“White South Africans excel in academics and competition and what we need therefore to understand and acknowledge that competing with us on merit remains a scary prospect that most black South Africans won’t support. It’s hard to say that. And it’s also hard to say we seem to be surviving BEE.” Hersov said.
Speaking at the Biz News TV, he pointed out that the ANC was losing the support of black voters.
“So we have to give the ANC some credit or we’re going to lose the idiology battle and this is a battle about idiology,” Rob Hersov added.
“We also have to acknowledge that many black South Africans have stopped voting for the ANC already. Their heads are up and they are looking around. They are looking for an alternative and the alternative is not the MK or the EFF,” he said.
“MK is 15% is a threat but they are stabbing each other in the backs at the moment and we have to take advantage of that. The EFF is falling apart, it’s going to end up with Julius going nowhere.”
Last month, Rob Hersov said he is in favour of the United States (US) cutting aid and funding to South Africa. This comes after the US government reportedly made a list of over 40 SA politicians and radical ideologues – each of them under consideration for targeted sanctions, as reported by The South African.
