Kaizer Chiefs players are back at Naturena ahead of their pre-season training ahead of the 2025/26 season

Amakhosi are set to camp in the Netherlands for the pre-season that will take place between July 3 and 19. So far, the Soweto giants are yet to reveal any new signings but the club has announced the departures of five players.

The players are Sabelo Radebe, Njabulo Blom, Edmilson Dove, Ranga Chivaviro and Mduduzi Mdantsane.

Chiefs have not confirmed the teams they will play this pre-season; however, Eredivisie outfit Utrecht have confirmed they will play the Soweto giants next month.

The two teams will play each other on 11 July, and a day later, Amakhosi will play five-time KNVB Cup finalists Nec Nijmegen FC.

“NEC will start preparing for the anniversary season in the first week of July with a practice match against the German SF Lotte. Also, just like last year, a training camp will be held abroad. Although not all dates and times are final yet, the club shares the first concept today [June 20],” the club said in a statement.

“NEC will kick off the preparation with the first training session next Wednesday. On Saturday, 5 July at 14:00, the game will be played at Sports Park De Passelegt, in Overasselt. Sportfreunde Lotte, playing at the fourth level of Germany, will be the opponent. Because of the 125th anniversary season, the Nijmegen tricolour will practice against the amateurs of sc NEC on 11 July,” they concluded.

Kaizer Chiefs will continue with Nasreddine Nabi after the Tunisian coach helped them to their first cup win in a decade.
