VFS Global becomes new handler

Visa outsourcing and tech services company, VFS Global recently revealed that it will collect all biometric data on behalf of the Australian Government in South Africa from 10 March 2025.

As reported by Travel News, South Africans applying for visas to visit Australia will now have to book appointments at the several VFS Global branches in order to have their biometrics processed.

The current biometric collection centre, TLSContact, will continue to provide services to Australian visa applicants who already have appointments until close of business on 7 March.

UK visa services also offered through VFS Global

In similar news, VFS Global also recently announced that South Africans travelling to the UK can now book appointments to submit their visa applications through VFS Global’s new state-of-the-art Visa Application Centres in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Gqeberha and Pretoria.

VFS revealed that, starting 22 October 2024, customers applying for a UK visa will be directed to them to book an appointment to complete their visa application.
