ORLANDO PIRATES NEWS ON LUNGELO NGUSE
With Orlando Pirates’ Zakhele Lepasa and Boitumelo Radiopane face uncertain futures in Jose Riveiro‘s team, the Sea Robbers are reportedly targeting a new number nine in KwaZulu Natal.
Similarly to Thamsanqa Gabuza, Nguse is a physically imposing striker, works harder to hold the ball and is less of a goalscorer with one goal in seven matches this season.
Also from KwaZulu Natal, the 25 year-old Nguse has previously played for Bizana Pondo Chiefs, Baroka FC, TS Sporting, the University of Pretoria and Golden Arrows.
According to the Citizen, Orlando PIrates are one of three big clubs in the race to sign Nguse in January.
“Golden Arrows striker Lungelo Nguse is reportedly being monitored by two of the traditional big three teams in the Betway Premiership,” the outlet said.
“According to a source close to the player, the 25-year-old could secure a big move in the upcoming January transfer window.
“Although the informant didn’t want to divulge the names of the teams vying for Nguse’s signature, Orlando Pirates are believed to be one team that is interested in the menacing attacker to bolster their options upfront.”
