Excitement is running high among South Africans following the announcement that Travis Scott will be bringing his ‘Circus Maximus World Tour’ to the country.

A fan, @Jabu_Macdonald, jokingly posted: “Travis Scott is coming to South Africa. Maybe I should sell all the furniture in the house.”

The award-winning artist himself replied: “Hold on not alll the furniture.”

Scott’s response quickly went viral, racking up 1.8 million views and sparking a wave of reactions filled with true South African wit and humour.

@krugersville quipped: “On my way to sell my grandmother’s house @trvisXX, say something about the prices so I can negotiate properly.”

@Khumology took a dig: “We only have like 4 camp chairs and broken tables, Travis. We aren’t the Kardashians back here.”

@Anele_charliez weighed in: “The ticket requires that you at least sell one kidney so you can also cater for the after-party.”

@Real_Precious_M chanced it with: “I want to cum and see you but I am broque. Be fair on us when setting prices please. Otherwise, bless me with a ticket, Trav Trav.”

On Monday, Big Concerts, South Africa’s leading music promoter, announced that Travis Scott will be extending his ‘Circus Maximus World Tour’ with a stop in Johannesburg this October.

The tour – already the highest-grossing rap tour in history – will now include stadium shows across five countries, kicking off at FNB Stadium on 11 October.

Scott, known for his unique fusion of hip-hop, trap, and psychedelic rap, shared his excitement about the extension in an Instagram post.

This will be his first South African performance in years, and fans can expect his signature high-energy show, complete with elaborate stage designs and an immersive atmosphere.
