Youth Day is fast approaching, a day in which millions of South Africans celebrate as we observe the journey we have travelled from the dark past of apartheid and the endless opportunities we now possess.
With the 16 ofJune being marked as an official public holiday, the last thing one would want to do is stay indoors and in front of the television. We live in a country where there is so much to do and lots to explore, and now is perhaps the best time to be a tourist in your own town or city.
To spare you the time researching where to go and what to do this Youth Day, we have created an adventurous itinerary that will ensure that you have a whole list of options no matter where in the country you may find yourself.
Cape Town
District Six Museum
Visit the District Six Museum, where you can expand your knowledge on the forced removals of coloured people during apartheid.
