TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi has confirmed who will take over the vacant coaching job at the club following the sudden resignation of Sead Ramovic.
The German-born mentor announced his exit from Galaxy live on SuperSport TV following the club’s 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership. Galaxy have had a dismal start to the 2024/25 season as they are winless in their opening six matches in the league. The Mpumalanga-based outfit are rooted at the basement of the log standings with only two points.
Meanwhile, TS Galaxy have recently been knocked out of the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals by Magesi FC. The 1-0 defeat by Magesi at Mbombela Stadium last weekend added salt to the wounds of the Rockets.
Ramovic is leaving Galaxy having spent three years at the team since joining in 2021. The highly-rated coach propelled the 2019 Nedbank Cup winners to greater heights having finished in the top six last season. They also made it to the Carling Cup final where they lost 5-4 on penalties against Stellenbosch FC.
In his stint at Galaxy, Ramovic produced a handful of exciting players who went on to join big teams in the Premiership. They sold players such as Melusi Buthelezi, Given Msimango, Terrence Mashego, Tshegofatso Nyama, Pogiso Sanoka, Bathusi Aubaas, Fiacre Ntwari, and Lehlogonolo Mojela.
ADNAN BEGANOVIC TO TAKE OVER AS THE HEAD COACH OF TS GALAXY
With Galaxy looking for a rival, Sukazi has revealed that Adnan Beganovic who served as an assistant coach to Sead Ramovic will take over as the head coach.
“Our coaching position is not a crisis, let me take you back a bit, Sead Ramovic came with two assistant coaches when he came over,” Sukazi said Metro FM.
“And those coaches happen to be UEFA Pro License assistant coaches and I made it clear that this will give us a caution should it happen that we lose our coach.
“The two assistants know the team and we are finding ourselves on this very comfortable situation and as matters stands, Adnan Beganovic will be the head coach and he will be assisted by Vuyo Mere.”
