There’s plenty of transfer news circulating around the PSL.
Every club is constantly looking for the next best thing, from Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs to Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch.
Rumours around the PSL
- Cape Town City are reportedly in talks to make former Ajax midfielder Thulani Serero their highest-paid player. It was in 2011 when the 34-year-old last played in the PSL.
- Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are interested in TS Galaxy defender Samukelo Kabini.
- Orlando Pirates are unlikely to renew Miguel Timm’s contract once it expires at the end of the season, making him a free agent. Several clubs are expected to try lure the playmaker.
More on Kabini
“He [Kabini] is a player that Pirates are monitoring closely and so far, he has impressed. Don’t rule out the possibility of [Pirates] making an official approach at the end of the seasin,” a source stated.
Rhodes to Pirates
Another PSL youngster Orlando Pirates are monitoring is Jaedin Rhodes:
“He (Rhodes) has been one of their (Pirates’) targets for some time now,” SoccerLadumaconfirmed.
“They have been monitoring him though there hasn’t been much happening. They were targeting him for the January transfer window period.
“Now that it didn’t happen they have more time to work on it and will see what happens in the next window. But they are interested in him. That I can tell you.”
An additional source said, “obviously, they (Pirates) will either loan some out or release some as well. But that’s the time they need to work on their squad and since it didn’t happen in January then they will work on it in the off season. Rhodes is one player on that list already.“
