Kaizer Chiefs’ home matches for the 2024/25 season in the Betway Premiership will be spread across three venues.
Amakhosi have only played one home game in the league this season against Mamelodi Sundowns, which they lost 2-1.
Their other four league fixtures have been away from home. Under their new coach, Nasreddine Nabi, they have won twice on the road [beating Marumo Gallants [2-1] and AmaZulu FC [3-1] and lost once to Sundowns.
SuperSport United handed them a 1-0 defeat away in Polokwane before Magesi FC held them to a 2-2 draw.
The decision to take some of their home games outside Gauteng is aimed at reaching a wider fanbase nationwide. Their next league game against Richards Bay FC will be played in Polokwane at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on November 27.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi will look to bounce back after their 4-0 Carling Knockout Cup drubbing at the hands of Sundowns in the quarter-finals.
The first confirmed Durban fixture for Amakhosi is against Chippa United on December 29th at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium. Last season, Chiefs played their first match of the campaign against Chippa at the same KwaZulu-Natal iconic World Cup venue in August, and it ended in a goalless draw in what was the start of Molefi Ntseki’s tenure as the club’s head coach.
