LOUISE VOLSCHENK AND THE MOMMY CLUB

Louise Volschenk, one of the show’s stars, reveals what inspired her to join The Mommy Club: Van Die Hoofstad, according to IOL

“Motherhood is about embracing joy, humour, and every little moment. I saw this as a chance to share my journey as a mom, wife, and businesswoman in a real and relatable way,” she says.

Being part of a reality show is vastly different from watching it, Louise notes.

“As a viewer, you get a snapshot, but being part of it means feeling every emotion – the laughter, challenges, chaos, and those beautiful moments you don’t always see.”

THE BALANCE OF LIFE

Louise highlights the importance of balance in her life. “As a mom, wife, and entrepreneur, I’ve realised you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Taking time for myself isn’t selfish – it’s essential.” She also credits humour as a key to navigating life’s challenges.

Louise feels closest to Tessa, as they both run their businesses and value a balanced life, according to Showmax Stories.

“We share a love for comfort food and wine – she’s definitely my kind of person!” However, with strong personalities come challenges.

HANDLING CONFLICTS

Louise approaches conflicts with humour and a calm approach, always keeping in mind that they’re all moms doing their best.

This season of The Mommy Club promises high-fashion moments, messy motherhood, and authentic glimpses into Louise’s business and personal life.

“I might even surprise you with a few glimpses into my business and personal life – so stay tuned!” she teases.

A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS WOMAN

Louise has been surprised by both the support and criticism.

“I’ve been blown away by the support, but also encountered harsh comments from Afrikaans women who label us as lazy, pretty, rich housewives – which couldn’t be further from the truth.”

She’s built a successful business without nannies or au pairs, managing her household and children while taking care of her appearance.

The Mommy Club: Van Die Hoofstad offers a real, relatable, and unforgettable viewing experience.

“You’ll witness the ups and downs of motherhood, marriage, and business – but with plenty of glamour, laughter, and a dash of drama along the way,” Louise promises.
