THULI PHONGOLO TEASES RETURN?
Generations: The Legacyviewers are counting down to Thuli Phongolo’s return to the show after she shared a TikTok videoof herself at what appears to be at the studio of the SABC1 soapie.
Phongolo captions the video: ” You’re on set but then you realise your true calling.”
The actress portrayed the role of an IT specialist Namhla Diale who is the daughter of Jack Mabaso (Vusi Kunene) and Lucy Diale (Manaka Ranaka) in the SABC1 soapie.
She took a break from the show in 2018 after joining the show in 2014.
NAMHLA LEAVES ‘GENERATIONS: THE LEGACY’
The DJ and actress Thuli Phongolo exited Generations: The Legacyin March 2018 after playing the role of Namhla Diale for four years.
She bid farewell to the show in a since-deleted post on X: “After 4 years of being on Generations: The Legacy…today I take a bow! Thank you for allowing me to live my dream. It’s been challenging and incredibly amazing at the same time.”
The soapie shared photos of the actress on their social media channels and confirmed her departure as Lucy Diale’s (Manaka Ranaka) daughter.
Phongolo is also known for her role in Showmax’s popular telenovela, The Wife alongside Mbali Mavimbela.
The media personality revealed to Sowetanin 2021 that the hardest audition she ever encountered was for the role of Mbali in Mzansi Magic’s The Republic in 2019.
“I remember talking to Cindy Mahlangu, who was there to audition for the role too, that the audition script was so hard. I didn’t want to embarrass myself,” Phongolo says.
The talented actress joined season five of Mzansi Magic drama Rockville to portray the role of Buhle alongside Siyabonga Shibe.
