This satirical black comedy action film, directed by the acclaimed Paul Thomas Anderson, is set to hit theatres on 26 September 2025.
The film boasts an impressive cast, including DiCaprio, Hall, Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, and Chase Infiniti.
DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson, a former revolutionary who reunites his old comrades to rescue his daughter, according to Vibe.
Taylor’s character is described as “a mess” who loves intensely but is not particularly likable.

Hall praised the collaborative nature of the filmmaking process, saying it was “amazing” to work alongside such talented actors.

THEMES OF REVOLUTION
The film draws inspiration from Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland, exploring themes of revolution and social upheaval, according to People.
With a production budget of approximately R2.3 billion (based on a budget of $140 million), it promises to be an epic cinematic experience.
The story follows a group of ex-revolutionaries who reunite after 16 years to save one of their own’s daughter from an old nemesis.

The trailer showcases a blend of intense drama and dark humour, typical of Anderson’s style.
Taylor’s character is complex and multifaceted. “She’s a mess… she loves hard and betrays hard,” Taylor explained.
“She’s tough on the outside, always in survival mode, and selfish.” Audiences are eager to meet this intriguing character.
Hall described the movie as “humorous, funny, but also heartfelt.” She praised the opportunity to work with DiCaprio and Taylor, saying it was “amazing” to spar alongside them, according to the Rolling Stone.
