Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has a solid fan in the great Teko Modise.
KAIZER CHIEFS MUST SUPPORT NASSREDDINE NABI SAYS TEKO MODISE
While a section of Amakhosi supporters have called for the sacking of coach Nabi after just eight wins in 24 league games, former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star, Modise says the Tunisian must be afforded time and support. “I think coach Nabi does deserve a chance, he does deserve more time,” Modise told iDiski Times.
“Also, from a person like me who is a fan of football, I think maybe if he can get an opportunity to sign a couple of players that he needs, so that these players can adjust to the demands he wants and the style of play he wants. Because he still has most of the players that have played for Kaizer Chiefs last season, that’s the same Kaizer Chiefs that were struggling last season.
“You can change as many coaches as you want, but as long as the players are the same and are not responding to the coach’s instructions or ideology, it’s always going to be very difficult. I think he does deserve a chance, because he might be the answer because not every coach, especially in South African football became successful in the first season.
“So, I think the team can invest in him,” Modise concluded.
