‘They know how to win trophies, especially the Champions League. But we are prepared for that,’ said the Sundowns midfielder.

Sundowns’ Adams – ‘It is up to us’
The Red Devils are more-than well-versed in these two legged affairs, and may well look to give little away in the first leg, with the chance to host Sundowns in the second.
“For us they are going to come and defend,” said Adams at Sundowns training on Thursday.
“They know how to win trophies, especially the Champions League. But we are prepared for that. It is up to us to attack them with many numbers and hopefully we can get the win.”
Adams has settled in superbly to the Sundowns side since arriving from Stellenbosch FC in the January transfer window.
Some wondered whether he would be a regular in a Masandawana side stacked with talent. But he has quickly become a key member of the Brazilians midfield.
Adams has already made 17 appearances for Sundowns in all competitions with three goals and two assists.
“There are players here I play with in the national team” said Adams on how quickly he has adapted.
“It was not easy for me to just come in and perform but the players encouraged me and gave me a lot of confidence. Credit to them and the coaches.”
Adams says he was a little dismayed in January at how sudden his move to Sundowns was, even though he had been linked with the Tshwane giants for a long time.
“I knew Sundowns had been looking at me for a while,” he added.
‘I was upset’
“My agent called me, I was at home and he told me I must pack my bags the next day. I was upset because it was short notice for me. I spoke to my girlfriend and child first.”

They have now moved to Tshwane with Adams.
“I think it helps a lot because if you have your loved ones with you, you feel at home,” he said.
“So I can just go on the field and do my best.”
