Orlando Pirates wave goodbye to Monyane, Timm, Mako

Paseka Mako, Miguel Timm and Thabiso Monyane are no longer with the Sea Robbers. As a result, numbers 29, 4 and 2 are available to be handed to new signings. Most Buccaneers fans will remember that jersey number 4 once belonged to the great Happy Jele. Who’s got big enough footsteps to fill it next?

Could Nemtajela be the next 4?

Orlando Pirates have moved quickly to secure a replacement for the departed Miguel Timm. 23-year-old Masindi ‘Confidence’ Nemtajela is the man. The all-action schemer made 17 appearances for Gallants in the league last season, scoring once, supplying two assists and picking up four bookings. With Makhehleni Makhaula having signed a one-year contract extension, a move for Nemtajela is a proactive long-term solution for when Makhaula leaves the club. His profile and style certainly fit the jersey.
