Somizi criticises SAA over business class seats
Somizi Mhlongo has voiced his disappointment with South African Airways (SAA) after experiencing what he described as an unfair business class offering.
The popular media personality took to social media to share a photo of his business class seat, highlighting that it was the same size as an economy class seat despite the significantly higher price.
“So this is business class. Seats are the same size as in economy class. But double the price. Pls make it make sense, my dearest @flysaa, coz I really wanna support you,” Somizi captioned his post.
Many of his followers joined the conversation, with some sharing similar experiences.
TV presenter Andile Ncube commented, “Fell for this once. They leave the middle seat open so you don’t have to share with two other people but just one, and allow you in first and off first.”
Another user added, “This is how the airlines make most of their money on domestic flights. Business class and ‘Premium’ economy tickets. They make you pay so much more, but the value you get is not worth it. International flights are where you really get your money’s worth.”
