Journalist and news anchor Shahaan Ramkisoon is eager to get to the root of all drama when he assumes his role as the host of the reunion special of the Showmax reality show, The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice.
When it comes to delving into hard topics, Shahaan is no stranger to the space, as the outspoken anchor is also the host of the eNCA show, The Last Word with Shahaan Ramkisoon, where he often engages in some of the most compelling discussions with politicians and various organisational leaders alike – and also featured on the roast of Minnie Dlamini.
This time around, he will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with the glamorous mothers of Durban’s Indian community, who are best known for showcasing their exquisite lifestyles.
Speaking to TshisaLive on his new role, he told the publication:
“My approach will be authentic. I’m not here to be polished or scripted. I’m here to be honest about what these women have experienced, what they’ve said and what they’ve done on screen. I want to dive into their stories, analyse their interactions and explore the fascinating dynamics, especially those that challenge the traditional perceptions in the Indian community.”
Furthermore, Velelo Alake, the executive producer at Pop24 revealed that the thing that made Shahaan the perfect candidate was his exceptional skills as a journalist and broadcaster.
He has interviewed some of the world’s most influential figures and we believe this reunion requires someone with his experience.
The episode is set to premiere on 25th October on Showmax.
