'Scandal' stars Kerry Washington and Scott reunite on red carpet

Kerry Washington dazzled at the New York premiere of her latest action film, Shadow Force, but it was a surprise reunion that stole the show.

Scott Foley, her former Scandal co-star, made an unexpected appearance on the red carpet. This sent fans into a frenzy and giving the evening a dose of nostalgia.

The event took place at AMC Lincoln Square 13 on Thursday, 1 May. Washington, 48, looked stunning in a Prada dress.

As cameras flashed, she embraced Foley, 52, with a huge smile, the two posed for selfies, laughing and reminiscing about their days as Olivia Pope and Jake Ballard.

Foley brought his 15-year-old daughter, Malina, along for the special night, making it a true family affair, according to Just Jared.

“It’s always a joy to see Scott. We spent years together on Scandal, so this feels like coming home,” Washington shared on the red carpet.

South Africans will remember Washington best for her role in Scandal, a series that aired on local channels and found a loyal following.

The chemistry between her and Foley was legendary, and seeing them together again brought back fond memories for many viewers.

Shadow Force tells the story of Kyrah (Washington) and Isaac (Sy), former leaders of a multinational special forces group.

The pair fall in love, break the rules, and go underground to protect their son. But with a bounty on their heads and their former team hunting them, the family’s fight for survival becomes an explosive war.

The film, distributed by Lionsgate, is now showing in select cinemas and is set for wider release on 9 May.
