SASSA SRD grant payment dates for February will be a bit early

With the month of February just 28 days, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) SRD grant payments dates will be a bit early.

Beneficiaries of SASSA SRD grants can expect to start receiving payments from early next week. Here are the dates, which will be over a period of five days.

SASSA SRD GRANT PAYMENT DATES

SASSA confirmed the dates when the agency will start processing SRD grant payments for February on their website. According to its poster, beneficiaries will start getting paid from Monday next week.

Since February is shorter compared to other months in the year, beneficiaries will start getting paid sooner than usual. The dates payments will be processed are from 24 to 28 February 2025.

WHICH SRD GRANT BENEFICIARIES WILL BE RECEIVING PAYMENTS?

As usual, SASSA issued SRD grant beneficiaries a reminder. Only those recipients who have been approved for the month of February who will get paid.

“Payments (for clients who are approved for the month of February 2025) will be processed from 24 – 28 February 2025,” the poster read.

Beneficiaries were also reminded to check on the SASSA SRD website when their payment dates are. This can be done by recipients checking the status of their grant.

“Clients are encouraged to view their status on the SRD website for the exact date that payment will reflect into their bank accounts,” SASSA further stated.

DELAY IN JANUARY PAYMENTS FOR SOME SRD GRANT BENEFICIARIES

SASSA informed some of its SRD grant beneficiaries earlier this month that payments for January would be delayed due to numerous reasons. One of them is that some of the recipients receiving payments in Ithala bank accounts had their accounts frozen.
