The South African entertainment industry has fast become one of the best in Africa and has been winning big on the international stage, with several SA celebs receiving global recognition.

SA CELEBS WHO PURCHASED HOUSES IN 2024

Back home, some SA celebs are also cashing in thousands, if not millions, from their illustrious careers.

These wins have undoubtedly seen several stars make a fortune from bookings, guest appearances, and starring in big-budget productions.

Thanks to their big wins, a host of celebrities have splurged millions on properties, and The South African profiles some of them, who bought houses in 2024 and are now living rent-free.

TNS

In February, South African musician Nkazimulo Ngema, popularly known as TNS, shared photos of his new house on social media. Speaking about his new house, TNS was out of words, thanking God.

“I don’t have many words; thank you, Father, you were there. You never forsaken me hold on, Mino’s boy, we will come back stronger,” he said.

YOUNG STUNNA

Young Stunna, who had his shot to fame in 2021, also joins a host of SA celebs who rewarded themselves with houses.

In February Young Stunna revealed that he had bought a new house and credited ‘Kabza De Small’ for his big wins. He posted to social media, ‘Kabza De Small Did.’

SANGOM AND REALITY TV STAR GOGO MAWENI

Celebrity Sangoma Gogo Maweni added another lush house to her impressive property portfolio, which boasts more than five properties dotted around the country.

In June, Gogo Maweni took to Instagram to reveal the news of her new house to her fans.

She shared photos of her new house and captioned them, “I’ve got no time for the streets…new project loading renovating our new home. Dear God and the ancestors, give us strength and continue to bless us. Cc @velabahleke_the_king.”

However, Gogo Maweni did not reveal where the house is located. She also revealed that she was revamping it.

INFLUENCER CYAN BOUJEE

In October, Cyan Boujee made headlines when media outlets confirmed that the 23-year-old controversial DJ had bought a new house.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, celebrity MDN News shared the DJ’s new house and captioned the post, “Cyan Boujee celebrates purchasing a new house.”

AMAPIANO SINGER MAWHOO

In November, Amapiano sensation Mawhoo joined a host of SA celebs who rewarded themselves with houses.

She posted photos of her new double-storey house on Instagram on 28 November.

Taking to the picture-sharing app, the Amapiano singer shared photos of her new house and captioned them, “Isaiah 60:22. Life lately. I still can’t believe that I’m a homeowner.”
