Ringo Madlingozi hosts party for supporters

In celebration of his Lifetime Achievement Award at the South African Music Awards (SAMA), legendary musician Ringo Madlingozi hosted a celebration party with his fans.

The celebration of the Ndiyagolola hit maker took place at the Emperor Palace’s Red Roman Shed in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni. A few weeks after he was honoured for his award.

The 60-year-old artist known for hits like Sondela, Ekuseni, Into Yam, Kum Nakum and Udoli among others took to his Instagram page to extend an invitation to his supporters to attend his free show.

Ringo performed for his fans live, free of charge, he also had a live stream on YouTube for those who could not attend.

Speaking to the news publication, Daily Sun, Ringo said: “I was happy to see many people attending the concert personally because it was clear that they wanted to see me perform and they enjoyed my performances while I also enjoyed my performances.

“In many times people come in their numbers to see many artists performances and you will not be sure if they wanted to see me perform but on Thursday night, I was sure that they came to see me,” he said.

The Baleka singer also introduced his new single, Ufikile Ekuseni to his fans during the concert

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page, Ringo shared his performance of the newly released song.
