RACHEL KOLISI SHARES HOW SHE TACKLES HARDER DAYS

Mom of two Rachel Kolisi has been candid about her feelings and journey of healing as she goes through a divorce from Springboks captain Siya Kolisi. She revealed that she had a really hard day, but she did not want her storm to rain on her kids. So, she choose to go on her day with music, podcasts and journalling.

Siya and Rachel have two kids together – Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7). The pair had also adopted Siya’s two siblings Liyema and Liphelo when they were younger. So, the former couple has a family of six.

“Woke up this morning questioning my existance. The day started REALLY hard. But I don’t want my storm to rain on my kids. So, I put some good vibe music on to get ready for school – did the school drop of, went to work out, went to work, listened to a great podcast, journaled. Did the school pick up and cooked dinner with the kids to some good vibe music,” she wrote.

“Cuddled my kids a little extra tonight at bedtime. Now I’m putting some effort into some self care to finish off the day! Just sharing (because) I know there are SO MANY of you navigating similar seasons – won’t last forever,” she wrote.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE DIVORCE SO FAR

In October 2024, Siya and Rachel announced their split via a joint statement. The pair affirmed that they are staying committed to raising their two kids with the love they have always known and will continue to work on The Kolisi Foundation together.

“This decision comes from a place of love, respect and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us. While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known,” read the statement.

“We will also continue working together on the Foundation that means so much to us,” read the statement.

Earlier this week, Rachel celebrated a Kolisi Foundation milestone. She was also spotted at a recent Sharks game showing that the pair are still doing their best to maintain a family life for their kids.
