It may have come as a shock for many to see the first wife of King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, Queen Ntokozo KaMayisela in attendance at the annual Umkhosi Wamaganu (Marula Festival) amid marital disputes.
This is after Queen Ntokozo once sought a court interdict to halt the wedding ceremony between King Misuzulu and his third wife, Nomzamo Myeni while they were still married.
Recently, Queen Ntokozo graced the Marula Festival; a vibrant cultural event that celebrated the marula fruits and their significance, including the traditional drink, ubuganu with her presence. According to Newzroom Afrika, Queen Ntokozo arrived with her two sons at the festival. Her seat was also vacant, which shows that she was expected to attend.
Taking to his Instagram page, the King shared pictures of his first wife, Queen Ntokozo, himself and his second wife, Queen Mdolomba attending the Marula Festival.
In a clip shared on his Instagram page, the Zulu monarch acknowledged his first wife’s presence. Amid their wedding woes and divorce proceedings, King Misuzulu addressed the Zulu matriarch as his first wife. This is reportedly the first time Queen Ntokozo was spotted in a public event since the Zulu King put on hold his wedding ceremony with his third wife, Nomzamo.
In another post shared on his Instagram page, the caption read: “You can never confirm the King, media was confused as the Zulu matriarch made appearance.”
