South African stage and screen actor Jerry Mofokeng and his wife share a glimpse of their marriage.
Jerry has a career spanning multiple decades, he has appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including Cry, the Beloved Country, Lord of War, Mandela and de Klerk, and the 2005 Academy Award-winning film Tsotsi.
Jerry’s educational background is impressive, having attended the Wits Drama School and later studying Theatre Directing at Columbia University in the United States.
He has also received honourary recognition for his contributions to the arts, including an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from the University of the Free State in 2019.
Throughout his career, Mofokeng has received numerous awards and nominations for his performances. Some of his notable awards include the SAFTA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 and the African Film Legend Award at the African Film Festival in 2018.
In an interview with Briefly TV, they shared a Q&A where it was revealed that Jerry is more dramatic than his wife.
They shared that the first person to say the love word was Jerry, who justified himself by saying he had to say the words because culturally, it had to be him who.
Sharing that their love life they both confirmed that their relationship has been in the honeymoon phase since they met.
“I tell him even if he does not buy me anything on Valentine’s, I don’t have a problem. To me it’s Valentine’s every day,” said the wife.
Concluding the interview, the two love birds shared that they don’t pretend in their marriage, they have developed ways to deal with things.
