Pyramids FC star striker Fiston Mayele has confirmed interest from Kaizer Chiefs for his services.
Mayele spilled the beans ahead of his side’s CAF Champions League final first leg against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
Kick-off at Loftus Versfeld Stadium is at 15:00.
Now, speaking to reporters as per SABC Sport, Mayele admitted he received a call from Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi in December 2024.
Nabi was looking to reunite with the lanky striker as Chiefs desperately needed a striker to solve their goalscoring problems.
However, nothing came out of the discussion between the two, and Chiefs went on to sign Glody Lilepo.
Now, Mayele said while the discussion with Nabi happened a while ago, all shall come to light at the end of the season.
His focus now is on helping Pyramids do well against Sundowns in the two-legged CAF Champions Leagues final.

“My focus is on the team and helping Pyramids win the final, and after the final, everyone is free to talk and speculate,” said Mayele.
“Nasredine Nabi was in contact with me in December, but now is not the moment to talk about it.”
