Punch Masenamela’s Sunrise FC kept their flawless start to the new season by winning two games in a row in the SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.
Sunrise FC defeated Tubatse United 2-1 at their home ground on Saturday. As a result, the team is currently in second place in Stream B standings with six points, tied with stream leaders Mighty FC after two games.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs defender was recruited by Sunrise to form part of their technical team before the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
Meanwhile, well-travelled coach Owen Da Gama registered his first win as Vondwe XI Bullets head coach following their 2-0 victory against Maruleng Celtics. This win comes after a disappointing 1-0 loss to Munaca FC last weekend.
Moving over to the Gauteng province, Gomora United leapfrogged Jomo Cosmos to take the top spot in the standings by beating Dube Continental with a score of 2-1.
Currently, Gomora United is leading the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League table with seven points after playing three games. Both teams have the same number of points, but their goal difference sets them apart.
