Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozz have welcomed their second child together, a few weeks early on 22 January.
IT’S A GIRL! PRINCESS BEATRICE WELCOMES SECOND BABY
Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have welcomed their second child together. The newborn was born premature on 22 January. The pair already have a two-year-old daughter named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi together. Mozzi also has a son named Christopher Woolf, affectionately called Wolfie, from a previous relationship.
Princess Beatrice and her entrepreneur husband, who married in July 2020, have honored the late Queen Elizabeth in the name of their daughter. The couple named their baby girl Athena Elizabeth Rose.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm. The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces,” read a statement by the palace.
THE BABY GIRL IS ‘HEALTHY’ AND ‘DOING WELL’
The baby girl was only expected to arrive in a few weeks. However, according to statement by the Palace, she is healthy and doing well.
“The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family have all been informed and are delighted with the news,” read the statement.
“Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care. Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna,” the statement continued.
Princess Beatrice is the granddaughter of the late Queen of England, Elizabeth II. She is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
