This potential starting XI would see Yusuf Maart, Pule Mmodi and Reeve Frosler coming out of the side for Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Mfundo Vilakazi and Njabulo Blom who returns from suspension. New boys Tashreeq Morris and Glody Lilepo were both heavily involved in Chiefs’ goals against AmaZulu and could get another chance to impress. Meanwhile, the directness of Vilakazi would be useful against Stellies. Interestingly, Kaizer Chiefs have won on each of their last two Betway Premiership visits to the Winelands club so they’ll travel with some confidence.

Against Pirates, coach Nasreddine Nabi opted for a midfield pivot of Sibongiseni Mthethwa and George Matlou. He changed it entirely against AmaZulu, selecting Yusuf Maart and Thabo Cele. Njabulo Blom is also an option but is currently being utilized at right-back as coach Nabi doesn’t seem to fancy the other natural options in that position.

A clash with Chippa next weekend represents the club’s last opportunity to win silverware in the 2024-2025 campaign. Chiefs last won a trophy in 2015 when they became champions of South Africa.
