Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng is being rewarded with a brand-new car courtesy of the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation.

This gift is in recognition of his outstanding achievement as the Gauteng Sports Personality of the Year, which he won in late November 2024. Relebohile’s impressive rise in South African football has been nothing short of phenomenal.

Since his promotion from Pirates’ DSTV Diski Challenge side to the senior team, he has established himself as a regular fixture in both the Pirates’ starting line-up and the Bafana Bafana squad.

His trophy cabinet is also filling up, with notable wins including the 2024 Nedbank Cup and the MTN8 final. Relebohile’s contributions to these victories have been invaluable, earning him the Young Player of the Season award at the 2024 PSL Awards.

The car, sponsored by Joma Sport, was handed over to Relebohile on February 11, at Bidvest McCarthy VW West Gate in Roodepoort.

In a video shared by SABC Sport on X (previously known as Twitter), he spoke about the importance of school football.

Fans and supporters shared their views while they congratulated the star mentioning that he now has two cars.

Another one urged him to not drink and drive.
