As reported across local media in previous months, Amakhosi are determined to solve their left-back issues by signing the 28-year-old Basadien. The latest reports says that Orlando Pirates also want the signature of the lanky full-back. “It has been easy for Basadien because he’s keen on trying out a new experience at a bigger club but he has remained professional even though the club didn’t accept any offers for him this season,” a source told the Citizen.
“Chiefs interest was serious, but there was no agreement reached between the two clubs, and now it looks like Pirates are coming in strong for him. Don’t be surprised to see him join them when the season ends, but you never know in football because things change very quickly, and other clubs might come knocking as well,” the source added.
