Pirates announce the signing of Mbule

“Orlando Pirates is pleased to welcome Sipho Mbule to the Club.

#OrlandoPirates

#OnceAlways” Is what the club wrote in a short post on their official ‘X’account.

Mbule joins Pirates aș a free agent, this after parting ways with Sundowns. The 27-year-old saw an option on his deal not exercised by the Brazilians, after they had loaned him out to Sekhukhune United. The player showed flashes of brilliance during his time at BaBina Nako. But he was ultimately released early by the club due to ill discipline.

Was offered to Chiefs

After that, his agent Mike Makaab publicly stated that he had offered Mbule to Kaizer Chiefs. But as time passed, there seemed to be no headway with regards to that deal. Now, out of nowhere, it was their arch rivals Pirates who stole a march and announced him swiftly. It now remains to be seen how many years he has signed on for at the Buccaneers.

Having signed, an old clip has resurfaced on social media of new Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou talking up Mbule.

Ouaddou speaking about about ‘Master Chef’

“Another player, I love him, his style of play. And I know that maybe his behaviour is not so good, but I think it’s a question of management. These players need management, somebody to be close to them. To make them understand that they are good players, but they have to manage their lifestyle, it’s Mbule. Mbule is a fantastic player, it’s the kind of player I’d like to have in my team.” Ouaddou said on the clip on MSW with Robert Marawa.. Watch the clip below.
