Phelo Bala celebrates months of being sober
South African reality star Phelo Bala is stepping boldly into a new chapter of his life, marked by healing, transformation, and unwavering self-discipline.
Taking to Instagram, Bala proudly announced that he has completed a six-month substance abuse recovery programme, a significant personal milestone in his ongoing sobriety journey.
While he kept the details of the facility private, he did share a certificate dated 27 April 2025, symbolising the dedication and resilience it took to get to this point.
The road hasn’t been without its challenges. It’s known that Bala had previously checked himself into a rehab facility in Mpumalanga but left before completing the programme.
His recent post, however, marks a turning point.
Now, Phelo is taking things a step further by focusing on his physical transformation.
He revealed that he has started a 30-day body transformation challenge, and it’s not just about aesthetics.
“This is me. Raw, real, and ready to take on the next chapter of my transformation,” he wrote. “It’s not just about physical change but about embracing discipline, pushing limits, and honouring the body God has blessed me with.”
His message was deeply personal and inspiring, reflecting a man determined to live with intention.
“For me, this journey is a reflection of my commitment to health, wellness, and living with intention. It’s about showing up for myself every day, knowing that growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones.”
In a message to others walking similar paths, be it in fitness, faith, sobriety, or self-discovery, Phelo offered words of encouragement.
