Orlando Pirates have set a R30 million price tag for their winger, Relebohile Mofokeng.

The talented attacker has received offers from clubs in Israel and the Major League Soccer (MLS), but his preferred destination seems to be one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Mofokeng’s future with the Buccaneers remains uncertain, although he travelled with the team to Spain for their pre-season training. His father, Sechaba Mofokeng, hopes that the Bafana Bafana star will move to Europe this coming season.

Orlando Pirates put R30 million price tag on Mofokeng

“My biggest wish is to see Rele playing overseas in the 2025/2026 season. I’m praying every day. I don’t want to see him in the Betway Premiership again this season. I know God will answer my prayers,” said Sechaba Mofokeng.

“Whether it’s in Spain, England, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, or Switzerland, Rele can play. I believe that with all my heart. Take him to Barcelona? He can play. PSG? He can play. Any country would be great for him — just not Saudi Arabia,” he added.

At just 20 years old and with four trophies to his name, Mofokeng should not leave Orlando Pirates for anything less than R30 million.

Many fans believe he is worth even more, but the Buccaneers are likely to aim for a figure close to that amount. Major European clubs may not hesitate to pay this price given the player’s age and talent. The winger has already earned five caps for Bafana Bafana and scored once.

Which team should Mofokeng join?
