Orlando Pirates FC have a plethora of talent in attack however that comes with it’s own headaches.
Playing time for some of their stars is becoming a major challenge.
The club recently announced the departure of Gilberto, who struggled to break into Jose Riveiro’s starting eleven.
And now, another player looks set to follow suit however, his desire to move abroad makes things all the more complicated.
Orlando Pirates attacker desperate for overseas move
According to the latest reports, Congolese winger Karim Kimvuidi is set to leave Orlando Pirates on loan.
The talented dribbling wizard has struggled for game-time under Jose Riveiro.
Kimvuidi however is refusing to be loaned out to another local team, and instead wants to move abroad!
“A change of environment is what he needs even if it means going out on loan. But from what I understand, he would like to consider one of the options abroad rather than joining a PSL club on loan although that’s unlikely to happen now in January,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.
In other news, Orlando Pirates have reportedly turned their attention to a Sekhukhune United rising star.
The Buccaneers have long been linked with a move for Stellenbosch’s Fawaaz Basadien.
However, as a back-up alternative, Jose Riveiro is keen on signing 21-year-old Vuyo Letlapa.
Letlapa has been highly impressive for Sekhukhune, making 10 appearances so far in his debut season. He also has two assists to show for himself.
Pirates closely monitoring Vuyo Letlapa
According to local publication Soccer Laduma, Orlando Pirates are closely monitoring left-back Vuyo Letlapa.
In the event of failing to sign Basadien, Jose Riveiro’s side are expected to make a move for the rising star.
Fellow rivals Mamelodi Sundowns are also monitoring the talented full-back.
In other news, Orlando Pirates star Mofokeng is also reportedly attracting serious interest from Spanish giants Barcelona FC!
Where should Kimvuidi move to next?
