Orlando Pirates’ Olisa Ndah set for season return?

Olisa Ndah’s return will be welcomed news to the Orlando Pirates faithful, who have seen several defenders, such as Thabiso Sesane, injured in recent weeks.

The Nigerian centre-back last featured on September 24, the Buccaneer’s second league game of the season.

A Tibia and fibula fracture caused Ndah to miss the rest of 2024; but after five months, he looks set to return to the Orlando Pirates starting eleven as early as this week.

Ndah update

“He [Ndah] has done well in the past few weeks and will be ready when selected to play,” an Orlando Pirates spokesperson confirmed.

“He is in line to return in the coming matches, possibly this week.”

Broos on Mofokeng future

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has predicted that this will be Relebohile Mofokeng’s last season at Orlando Pirates, telling iDiski Times, “Talking about Mofokeng, I just hope that he makes the right decisions. And that he is not going to a team where he won’t play,

“I see all the things around, Barcelona and Rangers and… (sighs) I’m a little bit afraid. I just hope that the people around make the choice of the best sportive solution and not the best financial solution,

“Okay, I think his parents want the best for him, that’s for sure. But there is another guy who wants to win a lot of money also, but that’s the problem. But ok, let’s hope, maybe I talked too soon about that,

“We’ll see. I think in June, Rele will not be a player of Orlando Pirates anymore, but a good choice is very important.”
