Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs rivalry runs deep, so it often raises eyebrows when a player jumps from one to the other.

It’s been a while since Samukelo Kabini, who signed with TS Galaxy in 2023, was spotted in Orlando Pirates colours, but that’s where his soccer journey began, rising up the ranks through their youth development system.

The 20-year-old phenom has been turning heads this season, so much so that Kaizer Chiefs are knocking on the door:

“Interest has been shown in Samukelo Kabini by Kaizer Chiefs,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.

“There have been talks about it, although there isn’t anything official at the moment. But Kabini could be the next player from TS Galaxy to leave after Thato Khiba’s move to Stellenbosch.”

Percy Tau loved in Qatar

Like Kaizer Chiefs, It’s been a tumultuous time for Percy Tau but things finally look to be on the up following his move to Qatar SC.

The 30-year-old, who joins former Bayern Munich enforcer Javi Martinez, has coach Youssef Safri singing his praises.

“I thank the club’s management for signing a great player like Percy Tau,” said Safri.

“Everyone knows his importance and capabilities, and he does not need to adapt, especially since he plays among distinguished players, such as Javi Martinez and Badr Banoun,

“This is the best time to sign a player like Percy, he is a big name and will have an impact tomorrow.”

Tau’s new club Qatar SC sit eleventh on the log, eighteen points off first placed Al-Duhail.
