Orlando Pirates could potentially finish the season with earnings exceeding R100 million if they secure both the Betway Premiership and the CAF Champions League titles.

The Buccaneershave an outside chance of winning the league, while their dream of success in the CAF Champions League remains alive after a goalless draw against Egyptian side Pyramids in the first leg of the semi-finals.

Next month, Pirates will face their rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, in their second final of the season, competing for the Nedbank Cup.

So how can Orlando Pirates achieve R100 million in earnings?

Having already secured R10 million in prize money for winning the MTN8, the Buccaneers could earn an additional R75 million by claiming the Champions League title. If they also triumph in the Nedbank Cup, their total earnings will reach R92 million.

With the team almost guaranteed to finish in the top two of the Betway Premiership, they can secure another R10 million or more. This brings their total earnings to over R100 million. So far, the Buccaneers have earned approximately R35 million, which is already an improvement over last season.

A significant boost comes from the Champions League, where simply reaching the final could earn them around R30 million. With the potential R100 million, Orlando Pirates can enter the transfer market and acquire top players like Fawaaz Badadien and Oswin Appollis. Another high-profile target could be Fiston Mayele, especially if they manage to eliminate Pyramids from the competition.

The Buccaneers face Pyramids in the second leg of the CAF CL semi-final on Friday evening.
