Orlando Pirates are reportedly beating Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns to uSuthu winger Tshepang Moremi.

“As things stand now, we can say Orlando Pirates are in the forefront compared to Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs,” a Siya source stated.

“They have inquired about his services and things could work out at the end of the season. It will all depend on talks and negotiations whenever they start as it’s still early to say much at the moment,” they added.

Another source said, “As I have said, it will al depend on the talks and negotiations, but it could involve money and player exchange as well. The value of the player and what AmaZulu want from Pirates could also determine the whole deal at the end of the day.”

Rhodes to Pirates?

Another player Orlando Pirates are considering is Cape Town City star Jaedin Rhodes.

“He (Rhodes) has been one of their (Pirates’) targets for some time now,” SoccerLadumareported.

“They have been monitoring him though there hasn’t been much happening. They were targeting him for the January transfer window period.

“Now that it didn’t happen they have more time to work on it and will see what happens in the next window. But they are interested in him. That I can tell you.”

Another source confirmed the news, saying, “obviously, they (Pirates) will either loan some out or release some as well. But that’s the time they need to work on their squad and since it didn’t happen in January then they will work on it in the off season. Rhodes is one player on that list already.”
