‘Open secret’ revealed, Nabi names his price

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has made it clear that he will leave the Soweto giants if the club don’t cough up the finances to lure additional players.

It’s not like he hasn’t had the chance to already, signing ten players before he took the field following his hiring last offseason.

“I wouldn’t be honest if say that I’m going to stay if the club doesn’t allow me to get all the tools to succeed next season because they have promised, and myself, I have promised the fans that I want to build a successful team that will compete in every competition to win trophies,” he said.”

“That’s the condition for me to stay [at Chiefs] because I don’t feel that I want to go through what I went through this season.”

Who’s on their radar?

Several stars are said to be in negotiations with Kaizer Chiefs, including long-term target Oswin Appollis, albeit enduring a drop in form this season.

“If you were talking about Appollis, I could have agreed with you. It’s also an open secret that Chiefs are interested in him,” an inside source revealed. “The negotiations are believed to also be at an advanced stage as there are a few logistics they are working on, but not Elias Mokwana.”

Meanwhile, Nabi is said to have travelled to Tanzania where he met with target and former player Feisal Salum, who has apparently given the green light on a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
