One injured in head-on collision in KwaZulu-Natal

A critical head-on collision at the intersection of Northern Drive and Sunford in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, has resulted in one person sustaining injuries.

ONE PERSON INJURED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION

Medical personnel were dispatched to the scene, where they found one individual ejected from a vehicle, landing approximately 25 metres away.

The individual was stabilised and quickly transported to a nearby medical facility.

The driver of the second vehicle, a white Volkswagen Polo, escaped unharmed.

TWO DEAD IN SHOOTING INCIDENT ON FREEMANTLE ROAD

Two people were killed in a shooting incident on Freemantle Road, Hillary, on Friday, 2 May 2025.

ALS Paramedics reported that three individuals were found with gunshot wounds, including two fatalities and one survivor with a leg injury.

“Paramedics found that three occupants had sustained gunshot wounds, two males and a female, all believed to be in their thirties. Unfortunately, one male and one female had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing Paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased on the scene,” said ALS paramedics.

The motive behind the shooting is unknown at the moment; investigations are taking place.

PEDESTRIAN KILLED ON M41 HIGHWAY, DURBAN

In other news, a fatal pedestrian-car crash on the M41 Highway near the Gateway off-ramp claimed one life and one injury on Saturday, 3 May 2025.

It is reported that the pedestrian was attempting to cross the highway when they were hit by the vehicle.

One person from the involved vehicle sustained injuries while three additional vehicles sustained damage as a result of the incident.
