Ntsiki Mazwai shocks fans by siding with Julius Malema after Oval Office fallout

Ntsiki Mazwai has raised eyebrows online after expressing her support for EFF leader Julius Malema, a figure she’s previously slammed publicly.

The outspoken poet and activist made her stance clear in the wake of a controversial meeting between President Cyril Ramaphosa and US President Donald Trump, where Malema became an unexpected topic of discussion.

The tense encounter reportedly involved Trump pressing Ramaphosa over false claims of a so-called white genocide in South Africa, pointing fingers at Malema.

The political friction reignited global conversations around race, land reform, and populist rhetoric, putting Malema under fresh international scrutiny.

In a move that surprised many, Mazwai, who once labelled Malema a “failed politician,” took to social media to declare, “LONG LIVE COMRADE JULIUS SELLO MALEMA. AY’JIKI.”

Her tweet left many followers puzzled.

One user responded, “Last time I checked, you were praising MKP and jiki jiki. Here you are now praising Julius Aybo!! I think you are very confused, Sisi.”

But Ntsiki stood firm, replying, “I can praise them all.” She went on to explain her position further, stating, “Please, I know I look crazy. But at the end of the day, we must always make it clear who our protected entities are. Otherwise, we are gonna destroy ourselves.”

While her history with Malema has been anything but supportive, especially when she criticized him for engaging with the ANC over the 2025 budget speech, her latest remarks signal a shift, or at least a moment of solidarity, in the face of international condemnation.
