Not just national anthems! KB rocks the SAMA stage [video]

Keabetswe ‘KB’ Motsilanyane – who has been praised for her phenomenal national anthem at the Springboks test match in July – entertained South Africans once again at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) this weekend.

The actress and singer had rugby fans in tears with her moving rendition of Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrikaat Loftus when the Boks took on Ireland.

KB is known for her hit songs El Musica, Good Vibrations, and Feeling You, which were released more than twenty years ago.

KB DELIVERS EPIC SAMAS PERFORMANCE

During the SAMAs, held at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Keabetswe ‘KB’ Motsilanyane took her music fans on a journey back in time.

The singer performed the 2003 hit song How Do You Feel, originally sung by the late Tsakani “’TK” Mhinga.

In 2006, TK died of a suspected drug overdose. She was just 27 years old.

On social media, South Africans thanked KB for honouring the music legend. Others were impressed by her vocals, dance moves, and youthful appearance.

REMEMBER THAT NATIONAL ANTHEM PERFORMANCE?

In July, actress and singer KB delivered a phenomenal performance at the Springboks’ first match on home soil at Loftus.

Her moving execution involved allowing the crowd to finish singing Nkosi Sikelel iAfrika.

The star was even praised by Springbok players and celebrities, with fans calling on SA Rugby to permit KB to sing every national anthem at a rugby match.

She responded: “I’m humbled, thank you.”

“I feel so blessed to have been a part of a wonderful moment,” KB responded to another who thanked her for uniting the nation.
