A clip of Newzroom Afrika news presenter Aldrin Sampear’s road rage incident has gone viral on social media.
The anchor has been accused of allegedly assaulting and being “intimidating and aggressive” towards a young woman.
However, he has vehemently denied any allegations of wrongdoing..
ALDRIN SAMPEAR’S ROAD RAGE VIDEO GOES VIRAL
In a clip posted on social media platforms, Aldrink Sampear is seen angrily confronting university student Laricia Augusto. This after a “minor collision” in Randburg, Gauteng.
The incident turned into a full-blown road rage confrontation.
In the clip, Aldrin repeatedly asked why the woman gave him the middle finger, while she questions why he allegedly assaulted him.
The woman told the Citizen, “He was screaming at me. I tried to defend myself, pointing out that what he did was deliberate road rage. I even told him there was more than enough space for him to have driven safely,”
According to reports, the woman has filed assault charges against Aldrin Sampear.
The TV and radio presenter released a statement disputing the student’s version of events.
He said: “There was an exchange of words from both parties when we were stationary. I’m horrified to see an edited version of the video because I actually went to my car to go fetch my phone and license to share with the driver. At no point did I assault the driver. We have exchanged details. I have reported the matter to the police, and my legal team will deal with this factually and honestly,” he said.
HISTORY OF ABUSE?
In 2020, Aldrin Sampear made headlines after he admitted to being physically abusive to two ex-girlfriends. Then, a Power FM presenter claimed that he witnessed the violent behaviour from his father towards his mother. He also claimed that, like his mother, his exes “provoked” him into aggressiveness.
Shockingly, Aldrin claimed that he “outgrew” his abusive tendencies as he exercised his father’s ability to “hold back”.
DO YOU THINK ALDRIN SAMPEAR OR THE FEMALE DRIVER WAS IN THE WRONG
