The EFF is furious after the SANDF denied deploying troops to monitor an authorised protest in Matatiele in response to the rape of seven-year-old Cwecwe.
The protest had seen the community rallying together to protest against gender-based violence after the horrific crime sent ripples of anger through South Africa.
The EFF has highlighted its dismay that the SANDF has officially denied any participation in the peaceful protest in a party statement issued this week.

EFF DISTURBED BY THE SANDF DENYING PRESENCE
“The facts are undeniable, the SANDF was present at the protest, and this was widely covered by the media and televised for all to witness. Not only did the military follow the protesters, but they also actively participated in overseeing the march, alongside SAPS, which further compounded the intimidation and suppression of a legitimate cause.” the EFF commented.
The party insists that there is overwhelming evidence to support that the SANDF had been involved in the march, despite the statement claiming otherwise.
