Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema celebrated his birthday by giving back when he donated R200 000 to the Tembisa Child and Family Welfare Society in Gauteng.
Malema, who is a notable figure in South Africa’s political landscape, turned 44 on Monday, 3 March.

After the birthday celebrations, Malema told journalists that the welfare society needs support as it operates 24/7 and although his donation is like a drop in the ocean, he is hopeful that it will be able to solve some of the issues in the non-profit organisation.
“It’s important to celebrate this day with the less fortunate, including abandoned children, to show them love and to remind them that not all is lost, they are still being loved and that there’s still someone who loves them.
