Each day there are new shocking developments about the seven-year-old rape victim, Cwecwe.
Recently, the South African Minister of police Senzo Mchunu issued a report confirming that the principal of Bergview College who had refused to give up his DNA sample for testing had finally gotten tested.
This news was something the country needed to hear as everyone was suspicious as to why he was refusing to provide his DNA sample.
A shocking discovery was made recently when Cwecwe’s mother was informed that no DNA sample was taken from the principal. She later revealed the names of the brigadier and police officer that had shed light on her.
It is allegedly reported that the police minister had lied about the DNA in an effort to silence the country. The station commander confirmed that no DNA sample was taken.
This discovery has angered citizens, who are now demanding answers as to why the minister lied about this. Some are saying he should step down with immediate effect as they prepare for a national shutdown.
In his defense, the Ministry of Police issued a statement addressing recent social media statements about a case involving a minor in Matatiele.
They clarified that the minister never said the principal’s DNA was taken, only that he was a suspect. The minister mentioned DNA tests, but those were for the minor.
A thorough investigation is underway, and the ministry urges the public to rely on official statements to avoid spreading misinformation.
